Jamie Carney has over 20 years of experience in finance, operations, product development, revenue operations, sales compensation planning, mergers & acquisitions, and bank financing. He is also the co-host of the podcast SaaSholes where he discusses his unique experience with his friend, Pete Jansons. Currently, he is working for a large enterprise software company where he works with the C-level executives on global revenue operations, compensation planning, mergers & acquisitions.
Prior to his current role, he worked 16 years at one of the leading online job boards. At that firm, he launched the niche site product line, which included sites like Miracleworkers.com , Sologig.com . These niche sites were run as separate operating entities whereas Mr. Carney had to oversee all operations from sales to marketing to product development. Under his guidance, the niche products grew from nothing to over $50m in annual revenue.
After the success with the niche websites, Mr. Carney oversaw global data and analytics, as well as integrations for the flagship product, Careerbuilder.com . He was responsible for all internal and client analytics while streamlining integrations with client Applicant Tracking Systems.
After Careerbuilder was purchased by Apollo Global Management, the new leadership requested that Mr. Carney oversee all pricing and product/bundle strategy for the company. He lead many initiatives in this role to win new business with a bundle sales strategy and renew troubled accounts.
Mr. Carney lives in the city of Chicago with his wife, Heather, and four children. He has an undergraduate degree from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. When not working or podcasting, you can typically find him at his children’s basketball games, baseball games, or lacrosse games.
